The Ultimate Picking Adventure is a 30-day intensive program created by Peter Farrell for guitarists who want to develop complete control, confidence, and coordination in their picking technique.

The program begins on September 7, 2026. Every Monday at 2:00 PM BRT, Peter will meet live with the group for a new lesson focused on the essential elements of great picking. Students will work with specific exercises, musical phrases, and technical concepts designed to improve accuracy, articulation, synchronization, control, and movement efficiency.

The program includes 26 Daily Challenges. Each challenge gives you a specific task to practice and demonstrate, allowing Peter to evaluate your progress throughout the program. One challenge may focus on alternate picking, another on chromatic exercises, another on a specific musical phrase, downstrokes, articulation, or coordination between the right and left hands.

Peter will also explore how the entire picking mechanism works. You will study the role of the fingers, wrist, forearm, arm, and shoulder, learning how these movements work together to create a natural, efficient, and reliable technique.

This is not simply about playing faster. The goal is to understand your technique so well that you no longer have to wonder whether you are doing something wrong. Whether you play jazz, blues, funk, fusion, rock, or any other style, the principles covered in the Ultimate Picking Adventure can be applied to your playing.

The program brings together concepts and discoveries collected by Peter Farrell through more than 30 years of studying guitar, including technical ideas inspired by masters such as Charlie Christian, Wes Montgomery, George Benson, and many others.

For 30 days, you will practice with a clear purpose, complete specific challenges, receive evaluation, and develop a deeper understanding of how your right and left hands should work together.
